MSI Katana GF66 Gaming Laptops Arrive in Nepal

The MSI Katana GF66 series, including the 11UC and 11UD configurations, is now officially available in Nepal. These machines pair Intel’s latest Tiger Lake processors with NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series graphics, making them compelling options for casual gaming and everyday use.

Design and Screen

Both versions feature a sleek 15.6-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The full-sized red-backlit keyboard and multi-touch touchpad ensure comfortable typing and navigation. The laptop’s all-black plastic chassis houses the classic MSI dragon logo on the lid, while a 720p webcam sits in the top display bezel.

Under the Hood

The GF66 11UC model utilizes an Intel Core i5-11400H hexa-core processor, clocking from 2.7GHz to a maximum of 4.5GHz. In contrast, the GF66 11UD upgrades to an Intel Core i7-11800H octa-core chip, ranging from 2.3GHz to 4.6GHz. Memory configuration includes 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz, expandable to 64GB, paired with a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD.

Graphics duties fall to NVIDIA’s RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti, each with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM and up to 60W power draw. The systems ship with Windows 10 but can be updated to Windows 11 when available.
