Nothing Phone (1) Gets Its First Discount in Nepal

The Nothing Phone (1) has officially received its first price drop in Nepal, following its recent launch. Originally priced higher, the smartphone now starts at NPR 58,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant, and NPR 61,999 for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model.

The device stands out with its striking transparent back design, a signature element of the Nothing brand that sets it apart from more conventional smartphones. This design showcases the internal components and features the innovative Glyph Interface, which uses a series of LED strips to display notifications, calls, and charging status in customizable patterns.

Under the hood, the Phone (1) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor, offering reliable performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming. It includes 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, though a compatible charger is not included in the box.

A 6.55-inch OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate delivers vibrant visuals and responsive interactions. The display features HDR10+ certification and a peak brightness of 1200 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright conditions.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual-camera setup, led by a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization, paired with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens offering a 114-degree field of view. Video recording is supported in 4K resolution, and the ultrawide lens can also function as a macro camera. Selfies are captured with a 16MP front camera.

The Phone (1) runs on Nothing OS, a customized Android skin that promises a clean, fast, and personalized user experience. Users can expect three major OS updates and an additional year of security patches. The device also integrates seamlessly with the growing Nothing ecosystem, currently supporting connection to the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds and Tesla vehicles.

In terms of durability, the Phone (1) features a recycled aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both the front and back. It carries an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance. The smartphone is available in two color options: white and black.
