Nepal Telecom Introduces NT 3G Portable Wireless Router

Nepal Telecom has launched the NT 3G wireless router at the CAN Infotech 2017 event, addressing connectivity challenges in both urban and rural areas. This portable device provides reliable Wi-Fi access without the need for lengthy cables or constant power supplies, making it ideal for users across Nepal.

Priced at Rs. 5,900, the router comes with a promotional offer that includes a free CDMA SIM loaded with Rs. 50 and 5 GB of data. The compact, smartphone-sized design houses a 3000 mAh battery that delivers 8 to 10 hours of usage, eliminating the need for continuous charging. It supports GSM and CDMA networks, using a SIM or RUIM card to deliver Wi-Fi speeds of up to 150 Mbps through the 802.11 b/g/n standard.

The NT 3G can create a Wi-Fi hotspot or zone, allowing multiple users to connect simultaneously. It also features MAC filtering, the ability to block unwanted websites, and offline storage for music, videos, and data. The device can function as a Wi-Fi repeater and supports charging for Android tablets, smartphones, and other portable devices. Additionally, it enables internet use on desktop computers without requiring physical connections.

Nepal Telecom also provides several data packages ranging from 40 MB for Rs. 15 for three days to 10 GB for Rs. 1,800 valid for six months. Users can check their balance, data usage, and package details by sending specific SMS commands to 1415.
