Nubia Z80 Ultra Debuts With Massive 7,200mAh Battery and Under-Display Camera

Nubia has introduced the Z80 Ultra, a high-end smartphone that combines a massive 7,200mAh silicon-carbon battery with an innovative under-display camera system. Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, this device targets users seeking both performance and extended battery life.

The Z80 Ultra features a 6.85-inch BOE X10 AMOLED display offering a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The screen utilizes 10-bit color depth and covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut, while an AI-driven twilight eye protection system adjusts color temperature according to natural light conditions. Notably, the display houses an under-camera setup, eliminating the need for a punch-hole or notch design.

In terms of performance, the phone supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, paired with an advanced liquid metal cooling system and a large 3D Ice Steel vapor chamber. The camera array includes a 50MP main sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter, complemented by a 16MP under-display front camera.

Battery life is a key highlight, with the 7,200mAh silicon-carbon unit supporting 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, along with reverse charging capabilities. Audio features include DTS:X-tuned stereo speakers, three microphones, and dual linear motors for haptic feedback. The device also supports the latest connectivity standards such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC.

The Z80 Ultra will launch globally on November 6, with expected pricing in Nepal starting at NPR 1,13,000 for the base 12GB+512GB model. Additional configurations, including a special Starry Night Collector’s Edition, will be available at higher price points.
