OnePlus 5 Rumored to Feature Dual Cameras on Both Front and Back

Recent design sketches of the OnePlus 5 have surfaced, revealing that the device may feature dual cameras on both the front and back. These sketches provide a clearer look at what to expect from one of 2017’s most anticipated smartphones.

Key design highlights from the sketches include a dual-camera setup on the rear, which will again sit on a noticeable camera bump. The primary cameras are shown arranged vertically and paired with a dual LED flash. The left side of the phone will house an alert slider and volume rocker, while the back panel combines a thin 0.5mm ceramic top section with an aluminum body for the rest of the phone. The antenna bands are only visible along the lower rear edge.

On the front, dual cameras are positioned horizontally near the top-left corner, followed by an earpiece and proximity/ambient light sensors. The bottom edge is expected to include a loudspeaker, USB Type-C port, a microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Although the lower front area isn’t shown, it’s likely to feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor with capacitive buttons on either side.

Rumored specifications for the OnePlus 5 include a 5.5-inch QuadHD (1440p) Optic AMOLED display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The phone may offer 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage options. Camera details suggest dual front cameras at 8MP each and dual rear cameras at 12MP each. It will run OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and include a 3600mAh battery. Official confirmation will come with the official launch, which is expected in late June or early July.
