OnePlus 15R Set for Nepali Debut with Flagship Power and Extended Battery

OnePlus has begun hinting at the imminent release of its OnePlus 15R smartphone in Nepal. This model is believed to be a rebadged version of the OnePlus Ace 6T, previously launched in China, following the brand’s pattern of rebranding Ace series devices for global markets as R-series phones.

The OnePlus 15R is rumored to carry forward the 6.83-inch AMOLED display from the Ace 6T, supporting a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The centerpiece of this device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, Qualcomm’s newest flagship chip, positioned just behind the more powerful 8 Elite Gen 5. While performance differences between the two chips are said to be minimal for most users, the 8 Gen 5 still delivers top-tier power for everyday tasks and gaming.

Battery life is where the 15R aims to stand out, boasting an impressive 8300mAh cell, well above the capacity found in most current flagships. Paired with this massive battery is 100W fast charging, allowing the phone to reach meaningful charge levels in a matter of minutes.

On the camera front, however, the 15R appears to take a step back. Unlike its predecessor, the 13R, which carried a triple-lens setup, the 15R will reportedly feature just two rear cameras: a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The absence of a telephoto camera marks a notable downgrade, reflecting a broader trend of reduced camera hardware in the 15 series compared to earlier models.

The OnePlus 15R is scheduled to launch in India on December 17, 2025, with expectations that it will arrive in Nepal before the year ends. Local pricing is anticipated to remain attractive, likely positioned below NPR 1 lakh, making it a compelling option in the upper-mid-range to flagship segment.
