OnePlus Ace 6 Debuts in China With Snapdragon 8 Elite and Massive 7800mAh Battery

OnePlus has officially introduced the OnePlus Ace 6 in China, positioning it as a flagship-caliber device at an aggressive price point. The Ace 6 is anticipated to reach global markets as the OnePlus 15R, and it brings a compelling mix of high-end specs and performance optimizations.

The phone sports a large 6.83-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2,800×1,272 pixels) and a dynamic 165Hz refresh rate that adapts between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 165Hz depending on content. Peak brightness reaches an impressive 5,000 nits, and the display includes eye-care technologies along with certifications for safe viewing. Gaming enhancements include touch and display sync, gyroscope-sensitive tracking, and a rain-touch feature that allows use with wet hands.

Under the hood, the Ace 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with Adreno 830 GPU. Memory options include 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and storage choices of 256GB, 512GB, or a whopping 1TB via UFS 4.1. OnePlus also integrates a dedicated Wind Chip Gaming Core that promises smooth 165Hz full-frame gaming with minimal lag and effective thermal management through Glacier Cooling.

The camera setup consists of a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide lens offering a broad 112-degree field of view. The front camera is a 16MP Sony IMX480 unit, capable of recording video up to 4K at 60 frames per second. Photography benefits from advanced gyroscope tracking for stable shots.

Perhaps the most standout feature is the enormous 7800mAh battery, which OnePlus claims is the largest in its category, surpassing even the 7300mAh battery in the flagship OnePlus 15. While wireless charging is absent, the device supports 120W SuperVOOC fast charging, achieving 50% charge in just 16 minutes and offering roughly 3.3 hours of gameplay from a 10-minute charge.

Design-wise, the Ace 6 follows the metal cube aesthetic of the OnePlus 15, measuring 8.32mm thick and weighing 213 grams. It features a micro-gradient silk glass rear finish and boasts extensive water and dust resistance ratings of IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. The phone is available in Competitive Black, Flash White, and Quicksilver color options and includes a customizable Plus Key button for quick access to functions such as switching ring modes, launching the camera, or activating AI features.

Running ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, the Ace 6 provides a smooth and feature-rich user experience. It also includes an ultrasonic in-display 3D fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication.

In China, the OnePlus Ace 6 starts at CNY 2,599 for the base 12GB/256GB model. When it arrives in Nepal, likely rebranded as the OnePlus 15R, expectations are for pricing to begin at NPR 64,999 for the entry-level variant, making it a strong contender in the performance-driven smartphone segment.
