OnePlus N6 Debuts Budget Powerhouse with 8000mAh Battery

OnePlus has launched the N6, a new entry-level smartphone that marks the beginning of its budget series. Designed for consumers who prioritize long battery life, the N6 sits below the Nord series and focuses on delivering lasting performance at an accessible price point.

The phone sports a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1200 nits, ensuring smooth scrolling and clear visibility even in bright sunlight. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, alongside a large 5300mm² vapor-cooling system to maintain performance during heavy use.

In terms of camera capabilities, the N6 features a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, supporting up to 10x digital zoom and 1080p video recording at 60 frames per second. For selfies, it includes an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

One of the standout features of the OnePlus N6 is its massive 8000mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to three days on a single charge under typical usage. The device supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, 5W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging, which delivers power directly to the phone during intensive tasks to reduce heat buildup.

The N6 boasts a durable design with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with military-grade certification for enhanced durability in extreme conditions. It weighs 224 grams and measures 8.88mm in thickness, despite the large battery inside.

Software-wise, the OnePlus N6 runs on OxygenOS 16.0 based on Android 16, promising a smooth user experience optimized to last up to five years through software updates.

If launched in Nepal, the OnePlus N6 is expected to start at around NPR 36,799 for the base 4GB/128GB model, making it a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers seeking extended battery life and solid performance.
