OnePlus Nord N200 5G Debuts as Nepal's Most Affordable 5G Smartphone

OnePlus has officially brought the Nord N200 5G to the Nepali market, marking its return after a two-year gap. This model steps in as the successor to the Nord N100 and is now the most budget-friendly 5G option available locally.

The Nord N200 5G runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, built on an advanced 8nm process. This processor includes a dual-cluster CPU setup with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, along with an Adreno 619 GPU for graphics. Compared to the Snapdragon 460 in the previous Nord N100, OnePlus claims a 100% performance boost. The device pairs this with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB through a microSD card. It ships with Android 11 and OxygenOS but is eligible for an update to Android 12.

In terms of display, the Nord N200 5G sports a 6.49-inch IPS LCD panel with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The design includes a rectangular camera module on the back and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Camera capabilities remain modest, carrying over the triple rear setup from the N100: a 13MP primary sensor alongside 2MP macro and 2MP monochrome cameras. A 16MP camera handles selfies and video calls from the front.

Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is powered by a sizable 5000mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging through a USB Type-C adapter.

Currently, the OnePlus Nord N200 5G is available in Nepal for NPR 17,499 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It can be found at authorized mobile retailers nationwide.
