OnePlus has announced the Pad Go 2, the successor to last year’s Pad Go, targeting the budget tablet market with notable upgrades. The new model brings improvements to its display, performance, and software, while keeping its affordable positioning.

Design and Display

The Pad Go 2 features a larger 12.1-inch 2.8K LCD panel, offering a slight increase in height compared to the original Pad Go’s 2.4K screen. OnePlus claims the display is sharper than before, and it now adopts a 7:5 aspect ratio, providing more vertical space for reading and other tasks. The overall design remains familiar, with a matte finish for the build.

Performance and Software

A major upgrade comes in the form of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset, replacing the older Helio G99 used in the previous model. This new processor delivers a substantial performance boost. The tablet runs OxygenOS 16 out of the box, which also brings longer software update support compared to its predecessor.

Battery and Connectivity

The Pad Go 2 retains the 10,050 mAh battery from its predecessor but benefits from updated power management tied to the new chipset. Charging remains at 33 W. Both front and rear cameras stay at 8 MP each, and the tablet now includes improved stylus support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, with an optional 5G model available.
