Oppo A17 Arrives in Nepal With Unique Textured Design

Oppo has recently entered the Nepali market with the A17, a budget smartphone that stands out with its unique design and decent performance for everyday tasks. The device features a distinctive leather-like textured finish on the back, offering a premium tactile feel despite not being actual or faux leather. It comes in three color options: Lake Blue, Sunlight Orange, and Midnight Black.

The Oppo A17 sports a 6.56-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, though it retains the older waterdrop notch design instead of a more modern hole-punch cutout. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 processor from 2020, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, running on Android 12 with Oppo's ColorOS 12.1 interface.

For photography, the A17 offers a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor, along with a 5MP front camera for selfies. The device supports dual 4G SIMs but lacks an SD card slot and uses a micro USB port for charging its large 5000mAh battery, which does not support fast charging. It also features an IPX4 rating for splash resistance and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Currently, the Oppo A17 is available in Nepal for NPR 19,999 for the lone 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration, and can be purchased from authorized Oppo retailers.
