Oppo A6 Pro 5G Debuts in India with Robust Battery and Enhanced Durability

Oppo has officially launched the A6 Pro 5G in India, marking a new addition to its budget-friendly smartphone lineup. This version is tailored for the Indian market and diverges from earlier global models, particularly in its display and durability features. The device is anticipated to reach Nepal in the near future, offering a robust battery and solid build quality at an attractive price point.

The A6 Pro 5G sports an 8.6mm thickness and weighs 216 grams, boasting an impressive IP66, IP68, and IP69 rating, which means it is dust-proof, splash-proof, and can even withstand a 1.5-meter water jet for up to 30 minutes. The phone features a 6.75-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,125 nits for enhanced visibility in bright conditions.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB, expandable via a microSD card slot. Despite being an entry-level 5G processor, the Dimensity 6300 ensures basic connectivity and performance for everyday tasks.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP secondary lens, capable of recording video at 1080p at 60 frames per second. The front camera is a 16MP shooter, recording video at 1080p at 30 frames per second.

One of the standout features is the massive 7,000 mAh battery, supporting 80W SuperVOOC fast charging technology, which can charge the device to 54% in just 30 minutes and fully charge it in 64 minutes.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX HD and LDAC support, dual nano-SIM slots, and stereo speakers. Notably, the device lacks NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In India, the 8GB/128GB variant is priced at INR 22,000, while the 8GB/256GB model costs INR 24,000. If the device makes its way to Nepal, expectations are for it to start at NPR 34,999 for the lower storage variant, making it a compelling option in the local market.
