The OPPO A6 Pro has officially launched in China, marking the latest addition to the brand's midrange lineup. This model focuses heavily on durability while offering some refinements over its predecessor. Key highlights include a robust build, a large battery, and a vivid display.
The device sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits, protected by Crystal Shield glass that claims 160 percent better drop resistance. The A6 Pro is available in three color options: Black Jade, Blue, and Gold.
Durability is a central theme for the A6 Pro, which carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, ensuring full protection against dust and water damage. The phone can survive drops from up to 2.5 meters and has passed seven harsh environmental conditions under China's GJB 150-2009 military standard.
Under the hood, the A6 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset built on a 4nm process, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, though the storage is not expandable. A massive 7,000 mAh battery fuels the device, supporting 80W fast charging and maintaining over 80 percent capacity after 1,830 charge cycles, according to OPPO.
Camera capabilities remain consistent with a dual rear setup: a 50MP main sensor accompanied by a 2MP monochrome sensor, while a 16MP camera handles selfies. The phone includes a unique 360-degree surround Shanghai RF Antenna that boosts low-frequency transmission by 200 percent and improves network reception in weak areas. Connectivity options encompass Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and support for advanced features such as Bluetooth keyless unlocking and real-time vehicle status monitoring.
Currently exclusive to China, the OPPO A6 Pro starts at CNY 1,799 (approximately USD 252 or INR 22,315) for the 8GB/256GB model. If it eventually reaches Nepal, expectations are for a starting price around NPR 40,999.
