Key Takeaways

  • Features a 6,500 mAh battery with 45W fast charging
  • Equipped with a 120Hz HD+ display and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset
  • Expected to launch in Nepal at NPR 25,999 for the base model

OPPO has unveiled the K14x 5G, a new addition to its budget K-series lineup in India, though it was not the K14 originally rumored. The smartphone includes a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,125 nits. It is available in Icy Blue and Prism Violet, both with a textured, slightly reflective back and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Under the hood, the K14x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, offered with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with options for expansion via microSD. It runs Android 16 with OPPO’s ColorOS 15 and includes features such as RAM expansion, AI GameBoost 2.0 for smoother performance, and AI LinkBoost 3.0 to enhance network connectivity in weak signal areas.

For photography, the device sports a 50MP main camera alongside a 2MP depth sensor, with video recording limited to 1080p at 60 frames per second, and a 5MP front camera. One of its standout features is the large 6,500 mAh battery, supported by a 45W fast charger and reverse wired charging, plus a fluency protection system to maintain performance over time.

Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additional software features include AI-powered camera tools like AI Portrait Retouching, AI Perfect Shot, AI Recompose, and AI Eraser 2.0, plus Outdoor Mode 2.0 and GloveTouch for improved screen responsiveness, and a remote theft detection feature.

The K14x is not yet available in Nepal, but if it does launch, the base 4GB/128GB model is expected to start at NPR 25,999, with the 6GB/128GB variant priced around NPR 32,999. While it may appeal to those prioritizing a long-lasting battery and basic 5G support on a budget, it is not ideal for gamers or photography enthusiasts. Alternatives such as the Samsung Galaxy A07 or Redmi 15 could offer better overall features at comparable prices.
