Oppo Reno 15 Pro and Pro Max Launch With 200MP Camera Upgrade

Oppo has officially announced the Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Max, introducing them as the flagship options in its latest Reno series lineup. While these models build on the established design and performance foundations of their predecessors, they bring one standout improvement: a substantial camera upgrade.

Display and Design

The Reno 15 Pro sports a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, while the Pro Max expands to a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel. Both screens carry Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Although the display size and resolution represent a shift downward from last year's larger 6.83-inch panel on the Reno 14 Pro, the devices maintain the same robust IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, ensuring durability for everyday use.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Reno 15 Pro and Pro Max are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This processor configuration remains unchanged from the previous generation, meaning performance expectations should align closely with the Reno 14 Pro. The software experience has been updated to ColorOS 16, built on Android 16, marking a one-generation increase from last year's Android 15-based OS.

Camera and Battery

The most significant change arrives in the camera department. Both models now feature a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization, leaping ahead of the 50MP sensor used in the Reno 14 Pro. This is supported by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom and another 50MP ultra-wide camera, maintaining the same versatile triple-rear setup as before. The front camera also remains a 50MP autofocus unit.

Battery capacities stay largely consistent, with the Reno 15 Pro holding a 6,200mAh cell and supporting 80W wired charging, while the Pro Max receives a modest increase to a 6,500mAh battery and retains both 80W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

Based on these figures, the devices are expected to arrive in Nepal with starting prices of approximately NPR 90,000 for the Pro Max and NPR 100,000 for the Pro model.
