Oppo Unveils Compact Reno 15 Pro Mini with Powerhouse Features

Oppo has expanded its Reno series with the launch of the Reno 15 Pro Mini, marking the first time the brand has introduced a "Pro Mini" variant. Despite its compact form factor, the device packs semi-flagship specifications that make it a compelling option for users seeking power in a smaller package.

The Reno 15 Pro Mini features Oppo’s new HoloFusion Technology on its back panel, creating a three-dimensional layered visual effect that changes with lighting and angles. The Glacier White model displays a three-dimensional ribbon pattern, while the Cocoa Brown variant offers a more traditional finish. The camera module utilizes a Dynamic Stellar Ring Design, which produces a soft halo-like glow when illuminated.

Measuring just 7.99 millimeters thick and weighing approximately 187 grams, the phone houses a 6.32-inch LTPS AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (1216 x 2640 pixels) and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The screen achieves impressive brightness levels, peaking at 3,600 nits, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i with additional AGC DT-STAR D+ coating. It supports both Splash Touch and Glove Touch functionality.

In terms of durability, the device carries three IP ratings: IP66 for splash resistance, IP68 for water immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, and IP69 for high-pressure hot water resistance. The USB port features a platinum coating to prevent corrosion.

Photographically, the Reno 15 Pro Mini boasts a triple rear camera setup identical to the standard Reno 15 Pro, including a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto portrait lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens offering approximately a 100-degree field of view. The device incorporates several AI imaging features such as PureTone Technology, Ultra-Clear Group Photo, Golden Ultra-Wide Portrait, AI Editor 3.0, and AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo. Video recording is supported at 4K HDR at up to 60 frames per second across all cameras, with the front camera also featuring a 0.6x ultra-wide mode.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset built on a 4nm process, featuring an All-Big-Core architecture with eight Cortex-A725 cores. Cooling is managed by Oppo’s Nano Dual-Drive Cooling system, which includes a vapor chamber and aerospace-grade graphite layers. The phone also integrates AI HyperBoost 2.0, offering AI Adaptive Temperature Control and AI Adaptive Frame Booster for gaming performance.

Battery life is handled by a substantial 6,200mAh cell, which is notable for such a slim device. Charging is facilitated by 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging capabilities.

Running on ColorOS 16 with deep integration of Google Gemini, the Reno 15 Pro Mini comes with a 6-Year Fluency Protection certification. Oppo has included several AI-driven productivity tools such as AI Call Summary, AI Call Translator, AI VoiceScribe, AI Recording, and AI Translate, supporting over 30 languages. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Nano-SIM slots with eSIM support, and dual stereo speakers with 2-mic noise cancellation. The device also features an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback.

As of now, Oppo has not announced official pricing or availability details for the Reno 15 Pro Mini in Nepal.
