OPPO Reno15 Pro Launched in China

OPPO has expanded its Reno15 lineup with the new Reno15 Pro, unveiled alongside the standard Reno15 in China. The Pro variant brings a larger display and wireless charging support, though overall changes from the Reno14 Pro remain modest.

Display and Design

The Reno15 Pro boasts a sizable 6.78-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1272 pixels) and a peak brightness of 3600 nits. It supports a flexible 1–120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling, though its PWM dimming sits at a lower 2160Hz compared to the standard model. The phone features ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels, Crystal Shield Glass protection, and is available in Starlight, Honey Gold, and Canelé Brown finishes. The Starlight version includes a holographic bow design visible when rotated, crafted from high-gloss, fingerprint-resistant glass. It also carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, with a refined metal frame and glass back.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Reno15 Pro uses the same MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor as the standard Reno15 and its predecessor, the Reno14 Pro. Built on a 4nm process, it offers an octa-core CPU with speeds up to 3.25GHz, paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. Memory options include up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage choices of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB via UFS 3.1. Thermal management is handled by OPPO’s Nano Ice Crystal Heat Dissipation system. The device runs on Android 16 with ColorOS 16 out of the box.

Camera System

Camera hardware matches the standard Reno15 across all modules. The main camera is a 200MP sensor (1/1.56") with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The ultra-wide lens offers 50MP resolution with a 116° field of view (slightly wider than the standard model’s 112°), while a 50MP periscope telephoto provides 3.5x optical zoom, also with OIS. All rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, as does the 50MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Battery and Charging

A notable upgrade is the 6500mAh battery, up from the 6200mAh in the standard Reno15, reflecting the Pro model’s larger size. Wired charging remains at 80W SuperVOOC, but the Pro variant now adds 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, absent in the non-Pro model.

Additional Features

The Reno15 Pro includes an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, USB Type-C audio support, and an infrared sensor. Connectivity options encompass 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Pricing and Availability

Launched in China, the Reno15 Pro starts at 3699 yuan (roughly NPR 69,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB model. When it arrives in Nepal, expectations are for a starting price of around NPR 83,000 for the base variant, with higher configurations reaching up to NPR 107,000.
