Realme 9i With Snapdragon 680 Chipset Launches in Nepal

Realme has officially launched the 9i in Nepal, the first model under its new 9 series, with the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ expected soon. The device adopts a fresh Prism design with over 3,000 machined lines for a distinctive texture and an 8-layer optical coating for added visual appeal. It sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen supporting a five-level 90Hz refresh rate, though this is a step down from the 120Hz rate on the Realme 8i, while still offering a smooth 180Hz touch sampling rate and peak brightness of 480 nits.

Under the hood, the Realme 9i utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset built on a 6nm process, promising better thermal efficiency than the Helio G96 used in last year's model. Memory configuration includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with the option to expand storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. The camera setup remains similar to previous models, featuring a 50MP primary sensor alongside 2MP macro and 2MP portrait lenses, with a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

Powering the device is a robust 5000mAh battery paired with 33W Dart charging, with a compatible charger included in the box. Despite the release of Realme UI 3.0 with Android 12, the phone ships with Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0. The Realme 9i is currently available in Nepal in two variants: the 4/64GB model priced at NPR 24,499 and the 6/128GB variant at NPR 27,999, through authorized retailers.
