The Realme GT 7 Pro makes a compelling case for itself in the semi-flagship market, bundling high-end components and solid performance at an attractive price point. As the first device in India to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it targets gamers and power users while remaining competitively priced around 60,000 Rupees, with bank offers potentially lowering the cost further.

Performance is where the GT 7 Pro truly shines. The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers exceptional benchmark scores and stable gaming performance, outperforming even the iPhone 16 Pro Max in titles like PUBG and achieving smooth 60 FPS in Genshin Impact on maximum settings. The device handles video editing and heavy multitasking without breaking a sweat, though it does warm up during extended gaming sessions or 4K video recording, reaching around 48 to 49 degrees. Realme has implemented a large vapor chamber cooling system, and recent software updates have helped manage thermal output slightly better.

The software experience is generally smooth, with Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 offering responsive navigation and optimized performance. However, the interface still carries bloatware and app recommendations, which many users will likely disable. A notable downside is Realme’s commitment of only three years of OS updates and four years of security patches, which falls short of the five-year promises seen on some competitors and may affect long-term resale value.

Design-wise, the GT 7 Pro presents a premium glass and aluminum build available in Mars Orange and Galaxy Grey finishes. While the back lacks specified glass protection and only Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front, the phone carries an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The massive 6500mAh battery feels surprisingly manageable thanks to Silicon-Carbon technology, which reduces weight compared to traditional graphite batteries. Daily use delivers 8 to 9 hours of screen-on time, extending to 10 hours with lighter usage, and the included 120W charger brings the device to full capacity in roughly 40 minutes.

The display is another highlight, boasting a Samsung-manufactured 6.7-inch 1.5K micro-quad-curve panel with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and 6,500 nits for HDR scenes. It supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 color gamut, and LTPO technology that dips as low as 1Hz to conserve power. Even bezels are well-balanced, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

User experience improvements include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which works reliably even with wet hands, and stereo speakers that deliver clear, distortion-free audio. Haptic feedback, borrowed from OPPO’s O Haptics technology, adds meaningful vibration to UI interactions, making navigation feel more engaging.

Camera performance is generally solid but uneven.
