Redmi 10 Budget Smartphone Debuts in Nepal With Snapdragon 680 and Dual Cameras

Xiaomi has expanded its budget-friendly lineup in Nepal with the launch of the Redmi 10, a smartphone designed to appeal to cost-conscious buyers. This model serves as an affordable alternative to the Redmi Note 11, sharing several key components while maintaining a lower price point.

The Redmi 10 sports a bold new design featuring a large camera island that houses its rear camera setup, fingerprint sensor, and brand logo. The device measures 9.13 millimeters thick and weighs approximately 203 grams, with a textured rear panel that resists smudging. It comes in three color options: Midnight Black, Pacific Blue, and Caribbean Green. On the front, the phone features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display operating at 60Hz, offering 400 nits of brightness and protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, a popular choice in the budget segment known for its energy efficiency. The device pairs this processor with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot up to 512GB. Software-wise, it runs Android 11 with MIUI 13 on top.

For photography, the Redmi 10 offers a dual-camera arrangement on the rear, led by a 50MP primary sensor and supported by a 2MP depth camera. The front camera is a 5MP shooter ideal for selfies and video calls. Both cameras can capture Full HD video at 30 frames per second.

Additional features include a single downward-firing speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and a large 6000mAh battery. While the phone supports 18W fast charging, the box includes only a 10W charger.

The Redmi 10 is now available in Nepal through authorized Xiaomi retail outlets. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at NPR 18,999, while the higher-end version featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs NPR 21,999.
