Xiaomi Unveils Redmi 15C 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and Expanded Connectivity

Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi 15 series with the launch of the Redmi 15C 5G in Europe, bringing 5G support and a more powerful processor to the table. Building on the foundation of its 4G sibling, this new version offers notable improvements under the hood while maintaining many of its key features.

The Redmi 15C 5G retains the expansive 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch for the front camera. Though slightly thicker at 8.2mm and weighing 211 grams, the phone remains comfortable to hold. It offers three color options: Midnight Black, Dusk Purple, and Mint Green, and maintains an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor and 3.5mm headphone jack are still present.

Under the hood, the device upgrades from the Helio G81 chipset found in the 4G model to the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. This 6nm processor features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six A55 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics processing. Memory options include 4GB of RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, expandable through a microSD card.

The camera setup remains largely unchanged, with a 50MP rear camera using an f/1.8 lens, capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The front camera, however, sees a reduction from 13MP to 8MP, also recording in 1080p. The battery remains a sizable 6,000mAh unit with support for 33W fast charging, ensuring long endurance similar to the 4G version.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou satellite systems, plus NFC in select regions. The phone ships with Android 15 and Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 interface.

In Europe, the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 180 Euros. For the Nepalese market, the Redmi 15C 5G is anticipated to start around NPR 21,000 for the same configuration, making it a compelling option for users seeking a balanced mix of performance, battery life, and modern connectivity in an affordable package.
