Redmi A3 Launches in Nepal Offering Budget-Friendly Performance

Redmi has introduced the Redmi A3 in Nepal, positioning it as an entry-level smartphone designed for budget-conscious users. The device features a 6.71-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset built on a 12nm process, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.

Running on stock Android 14, the Redmi A3 offers two years of software updates, a departure from the custom MIUI found on other models in the series. The camera setup includes an 8MP main lens with a 0.08MP secondary sensor, along with a 5MP selfie camera situated in a water-drop notch. Both the front and rear cameras support 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second.

A substantial 5000mAh battery supplies power, supported by 10W wired charging. Connectivity options encompass WiFi, 4G, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port, marking its debut in the Redmi A-Series. Security is enhanced with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi A3 is available in three color options: Lake Blue, Olive Green, and Midnight Black. In Nepal, the base model with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at NPR 11,999, while the higher-end variant featuring 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs NPR 12,999. The device can be found at authorized retail outlets across the country.
