Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 3 Lite in Nepal, positioning it as an incredibly affordable option in the wireless earbud market. Priced at NPR 3,399, these earbuds aim to deliver essential features without breaking the bank. In this review, we explore how well they perform in real-world use.

The Redmi Buds 3 Lite first appeared as the Buds 3 Youth Edition in October last year and has since made its way to India and now Nepal. While the Indian launch price was INR 1,999, early buyers in Nepal can grab them for NPR 1,499 during the first two days of sale starting July 31, making them even more attractive.

Inside the box, users will find the charging case with earbuds, two pairs of ear tips, and an additional pair of ear hooks. Notably, Xiaomi does not include a charging cable, which could be inconvenient for those without an extra Type-C cable already.

Call quality is acceptable, though voices may sound slightly muffled. A dedicated gaming mode exists, activated by holding controls on both earbuds, but it feels more like a gimmick than a practical feature. Users seeking low-latency gaming should consider earbuds supporting codecs like aptX.

Battery life meets expectations, with the earbuds offering up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge, though real-world testing averaged around 4 hours at higher volumes. The charging case provides two additional full charges, extending total usage to approximately 18 hours.
