Redmi Steps Into Monitor Territory With the Display 1A

Redmi, a brand best known for its affordable and capable smartphones, is branching out into new product categories. Its latest move is the introduction of the Redmi Display 1A, a budget-friendly monitor aimed at consumers looking for a quality display without breaking the bank. The monitor features a 23.8-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It offers a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a peak brightness of 250 nits, along with a smooth 60Hz refresh rate and a Gray To Gray response time of 6ms.

The design includes a slim profile, measuring just 7.3mm at its thinnest point, with a notable exception of a larger bezel on the bottom. The sides, however, feature minimal bezels, enabling an immersive viewing experience particularly useful in multi-monitor setups. The monitor holds a TUV Rheinland certification for reduced blue light emission, making prolonged use more comfortable.

Connectivity is versatile, offering both an HDMI port for modern devices and a VGA port to support older systems. With dimensions of 539.2mm in length, 181.2mm in width, and 419.5mm in height, and a weight of 2.7kg, the monitor is designed for easy integration into most desktop setups.

Currently available for order in China through Xiaomi’s official site at a price of 599 Yuan, the Redmi Display 1A is expected to launch in Nepal soon. If it follows the typical pricing trends, Nepalese consumers can anticipate it to retail around NPR 13,500, positioning it as a competitive option in the budget monitor segment.
