AMD has unveiled the Ryzen 9 9900X3D, joining the high-performance Ryzen 9 9950X3D as part of its latest processor lineup. While positioned as a slightly less powerful option, this CPU still delivers impressive capabilities that make it an attractive choice for gamers and content creators.

The Ryzen 9 9900X3D features 12 Zen 5 cores and 24 threads, with a maximum boost clock reaching 5.5 GHz. It operates at a 120W power envelope and retains the same 140MB of total cache as its predecessor, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D, but utilizes AMD's second generation V-cache technology. This places the cache directly beneath the Core Complex Dies, enabling the processor to achieve higher frequencies efficiently without excessive heat buildup.
