Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A05s in the Nepali market, targeting budget-conscious users with a feature-packed smartphone. This device balances performance, display quality, and battery life at an attractive price point.

Design and Display

The Galaxy A05s sports a classic rectangular design with rounded edges and a glittery finish, constructed entirely from plastic. It measures 168 by 77.8 by 8.8 millimeters and weighs 194 grams. The phone features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with FHD+ resolution (2400x1080 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and 16 million colors. The display includes a waterdrop-style notch at the top for the front camera. Three color options are offered: Light Green, Silver, and Black, with the Purple variant not currently available locally.

Performance and Storage

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor built on a 6nm process, the A05s delivers solid everyday performance and can handle light gaming. Users can choose between 4GB or 6GB of RAM, both paired with 128GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. The device runs Android 13 with Samsung’s OneUI interface.

Camera Setup

On the back, the A05s includes a triple-camera system led by a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, supported by a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor, both with f/2.4 apertures. The rear camera supports autofocus and records video at 1080p at 60 frames per second but lacks optical image stabilization. The front camera is a single 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second. It does not feature autofocus or OIS.

Battery and Connectivity

A large 5000mAh non-removable battery powers the device, supported by 25W fast charging via USB Type-C (USB 2.0 standard). Connectivity options include dual-band WiFi with WiFi Direct, Bluetooth version 5.1, GPS with Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, and QZSS support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Notably, the phone does not support MHL or NFC.

The Samsung Galaxy A05s is priced at NPR 21,999 for the 4GB RAM model and NPR 23,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. It is available now through authorized Samsung retailers, and buyers will receive a 25W charger free of charge.
