Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE Design and Specs Revealed in New Leaks

Recent certifications from SGS Fimko and the FCC have offered the first detailed look at Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 FE earbuds. The images show that these budget-friendly earbuds will adopt a design language very similar to Samsung's high-end Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, featuring angular stems and a classic in-ear silhouette with silicone tips for improved comfort and noise isolation.

One noticeable difference from the Pro model is the absence of a light strip along the edge of the earbuds. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro uses this strip to indicate pairing status, unlocking, or search functions, but the Buds 3 FE will likely skip this feature, much like the standard Galaxy Buds 3 did.

According to the certification documents, each Galaxy Buds 3 FE earbud will contain a 100mAh battery, while the charging case will hold a 900mAh cell. This represents a significant increase over the original Galaxy Buds FE, which had 60mAh per bud and a 479mAh case, suggesting longer playtime for the new model.

The listings also confirm internal model numbers: SM-R420 for the earbuds themselves and EP-QR420 for the charging case. Beyond the visuals and battery details, expectations are that the Buds 3 FE will include active noise cancellation, some level of water resistance with an IP rating, and integration with Samsung's Galaxy AI features such as Interpreter and Live Translate.

Although Samsung has not yet announced an official release date, industry sources suggest the Buds 3 FE will debut alongside the Galaxy S25 FE smartphone. Samsung has confirmed the S25 FE will arrive in August or early September, and the earbuds are anticipated to follow a similar timeline. Pricing estimates place the Galaxy Buds 3 FE around USD 100, positioning them as a compelling option in the budget wireless earbud market.
