Samsung Launches Galaxy F07 Budget Smartphone in India

Samsung has expanded its budget-friendly F series with the launch of the Galaxy F07 in India. This model is closely related to the Galaxy M07 and Galaxy A07, differing mainly by its exclusive availability on Flipkart and a single 'Green' color option. The F07 carries forward Samsung's familiar budget design language, measuring 7.6mm thin and weighing 184 grams, with a matte finish on the back and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The phone sports a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, an upgrade over last year's Galaxy F06 5G. Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor, which includes two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz. While capable, this chip sits below the Dimensity 6300 used in the F06 5G, primarily due to the lack of 5G support and slightly lower peak CPU speeds. The F07 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB via a dedicated slot.

Software-wise, the device runs Android 15 paired with Samsung's One UI 7, promising six major Android updates and six years of security patches, a commendable commitment for a budget device. The camera setup mirrors the F06 5G, with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, alongside an 8MP selfie camera housed in a teardrop notch. Both the main and front cameras support FHD video recording at 30 frames per second.

Battery life is handled by a robust 5000mAh cell, paired with 25W charging capabilities. Despite the modest charging speed, Samsung retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, both welcome features at this price point. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and standard 4G LTE bands, along with a single bottom-firing speaker.

If the Galaxy F07 makes its way to Nepal, expectations are for it to be priced around NPR 13,999, aligning with its INR 7,699 price tag in India for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant.
