Samsung Unveils Galaxy M16 5G in Nepal with MediaTek Dimensity 6300

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy M16 5G in Nepal, succeeding the Galaxy M15 5G. The new model retains the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC but introduces a refreshed design and updated features. The device sports a modern look with sharper, flatter edges and is offered in three color options: Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black. A vertically aligned pill-shaped camera module sits on the back, accompanied by an LED flash placed outside the camera island.

The front features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with thin bezels, FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 800 nits of HBM for improved outdoor visibility. Although the display retains the U-shaped notch seen in older models, it remains vibrant and suitable for media consumption.

Under the hood, the Galaxy M16 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which includes two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, paired with the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics. The phone offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with expandable storage support via a microSD card slot up to 1TB and virtual RAM expansion. It ships with Android 15 and Samsung’s One UI 7, providing new customization options, enhanced battery optimization, and improved privacy features, along with a promised six years of OS and security updates.

For photography, the Galaxy M16 includes a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is a 13MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture, supporting Face Unlock for added security.

Connectivity options include dual-band 5GHz Wi-Fi and 5G support for faster network speeds and reduced latency. The device also features stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a robust 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy M16 5G is available in Nepal for NPR 26,999 for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and can be purchased from authorized retail outlets.
