Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Launched in Nepal with Updated Pricing

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S23 Ultra in Nepal, marking the arrival of its most advanced flagship smartphone to date. The device brings significant upgrades across the board, particularly in its camera capabilities and processing power, while maintaining a design language familiar to existing users of the Ultra series.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is offered in two storage configurations: a base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at NPR 191,999, and a higher-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage available for NPR 209,999. Customers can purchase the phone from authorized retail outlets across Nepal. Samsung Nepal is also providing attractive financing options, including 0% EMI plans, free one-time breakage insurance valid for one year, and exchange discounts of up to NPR 8,000 when trading in eligible devices.

One of the standout features of the S23 Ultra is its brand-new 200MP ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor, developed specifically for this model. This sensor measures 1/1.3” with 0.6µm pixels and defaults to 12.5MP images using 16:1 pixel binning. It supports 8K video recording at 30 frames per second, an improvement over the previous generation’s 24fps limit. The camera system also includes two telephoto lenses offering 3x and 10x optical zoom, both rated at 10MP, along with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

In terms of performance, the S23 Ultra utilizes the specially optimized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip, featuring an overclocked Prime Arm Cortex-X3 core running at 3.36GHz and an Adreno 740 GPU clocked at 719MHz. This custom version of Qualcomm’s flagship processor is tailored for Samsung’s software ecosystem and is expected to continue in future Ultra models until Samsung develops its own chipset.

The device sports a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with Quad HD+ resolution (3088 x 1440 pixels), an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 129Hz, and a peak brightness of 1750 nits. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and features Armor Aluminum framing, along with IP68 dust and water resistance. The phone includes a 5000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

Software-wise, the S23 Ultra runs One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 and comes with a built-in S Pen stylus. Samsung has committed to providing at least four years of Android updates for this model. Additional features include satellite communication support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, Ultra Wide Band technology, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is available in four color options: Green, Cream, Phantom Black, and Lavender.
