Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus Now Available in Nepal With Updated Specs and Pricing

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus in the Nepalese market, bringing updated hardware, new AI-driven features, and refined designs to the flagship lineup. The models are now available for pre-booking, with pricing and full specifications revealed.

Design and Display

The Galaxy S24 measures in at a sleek 6.2-inch display, while the S24 Plus expands to a spacious 6.7-inch screen. Both models feature flat AMOLED panels with minimal bezels and a small centered punch-hole cutout. The S24 utilizes an FHD+ resolution, whereas the S24 Plus boasts a sharper QHD+ display, both capable of peaking at 2600 nits for excellent outdoor visibility. Protection comes from Gorilla Glass Victus 2, paired with ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensors and IP68 water resistance. Though they lack the titanium frame of the Ultra model, both phones sport an Armor Aluminum 2.0 build and a modern flat design reminiscent of recent iPhones. Color options include Onyx Black, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow, and Marble Grey, with exclusive Jade Green, Sapphire Blue, and Sandstone Orange shades available via the Samsung website.

Performance and Storage

In international markets including Nepal, the S24 series is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400 processor, a deca-core chip featuring a robust Cortex X4 core clocked at 3.2 GHz, supported by five Cortex A720 cores and four Cortex A520 cores. Samsung claims this new processor delivers 1.7 times the CPU performance and 14.7 times the AI processing power over its predecessor, the Exynos 2200. The base Galaxy S24 comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable to 256GB, while the S24 Plus starts at 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, extendable to 512GB.

Camera and AI Features

Both models share a triple-camera setup, led by a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The front camera is a 12MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. While the hardware remains consistent, Samsung has integrated extensive AI capabilities under the Galaxy AI banner. Charging speeds vary between the two models: the S24 Plus supports 45W wired charging, reaching 65 percent in 30 minutes, while the base S24 is limited to 25W wired charging, achieving 50 percent in the same timeframe. Both phones support 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

Software and Connectivity

Running on OneUI 6.1 based on Android 14, the S24 series is promised up to seven years of OS updates, potentially stretching support to Android 21. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC, alongside stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital/Plus for an enhanced audio experience.

The Galaxy S24 is priced at NPR 99,999 for the 8/128GB variant and NPR 119,999 for the 8/256GB model. The Galaxy S24 Plus is available exclusively in the 12/256GB configuration at NPR 142,999.
