Sony Unveils Xperia 10 VII with Enhanced Camera and Smoother Performance

Sony has officially introduced the Xperia 10 VII, bringing notable upgrades to its mid-range smartphone lineup. The device features a refined design with a 6.1-inch OLED display that now offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, up from the 60Hz on its predecessor. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and sits within an slim 8.3mm body that weighs just 168 grams, making it comfortable to hold. The camera module has been redesigned in a horizontal pill shape for a more modern look.

Under the hood, the Xperia 10 VII is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, an improvement over last year's Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD. The phone runs Android 15 out of the box and is promised four years of OS updates along with six years of security patches. Sony has also integrated Google's Circle to Search and Gemini features for enhanced user experience.

On the photography front, the Xperia 10 VII sports a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide lens, an upgrade from the 48MP main and 8MP ultrawide on the Xperia 10 VI. The front camera is an 8MP shooter. Battery life remains consistent with a 5,000 mAh cell, and the device retains the 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio listeners. Additional features include dual front-facing speakers, a dedicated camera shutter button, and an IP65/68 water and dust resistance rating. The phone will be available in White, Turquoise, or Charcoal Black.

In terms of pricing and availability, the Xperia 10 VII is listed at Euro 449 in Europe. It is expected to launch in Nepal soon with a starting price of NPR 63,000.
