Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 4 (2022) Now Available with Intel Processors in Nepal

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 4 for 2022, now featuring Intel Core processors, has arrived in the Nepali market. Previously, only Ryzen versions were accessible, but consumers can now choose from a range of 12th Gen Alder Lake Intel chips. This model balances portability and performance, making it ideal for both professional and personal use.

The laptop sports a sleek aluminum body weighing just 1.4 kilograms and measures under 18 millimeters thick, with an anodized finish on the lid. Its 14-inch FHD IPS display offers a matte finish, 300 nits brightness, and TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, ensuring comfortable viewing. While a TN panel option exists elsewhere, the IPS version is recommended for its superior color accuracy and quality.

Under the hood, users can select from Intel U or P series processors, ranging from the Intel Core i3-1215U with six cores to the more powerful i7-1260P, which boasts twelve cores and sixteen threads. Graphics options include integrated Intel Iris Xe or the discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX 550 with 2GB VRAM. Memory starts at 8GB DDR4 RAM (soldered) and can be expanded up to 40GB through an additional SO-DIMM slot. Storage is flexible as well, with support for up to 2TB via an M.2 slot.

Security is a priority for this business-oriented device, featuring a TPM 2.0 chip, an integrated fingerprint reader in the power button, a Kensington Nano slot, and a physical camera shutter for enhanced privacy. Connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 5 (with WiFi 6/6E on select models), and Bluetooth 5.1. The port selection is comprehensive, offering two USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, an additional USB-C, an HDMI port, an SD card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an RJ45 Ethernet port.

Battery options include a 45Wh or 65Wh lithium polymer cell. Despite the modest capacities, the efficiency of the Intel processors helps achieve up to eight hours of runtime, as demonstrated in MobileMark 2018 testing. A 65W USB-C power adapter is included for fast charging.

Currently available in Nepal, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 4 starts at NPR 76,499 for the base model with an Intel Core i5-1235U, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. An upgraded variant with the same processor but adding the MX 550 graphics card is priced at NPR 80,499. Both models are available at authorized Lenovo retailers across the country.
