Vivo Reportedly Preparing a Compact Vlogging Camera to Challenge DJI

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone giant, appears to be expanding beyond its core product line with plans to enter the dedicated vlogging camera market. Known for its advanced smartphone cameras and stabilization technology, Vivo is reportedly leveraging this expertise to develop a compact, high-quality video camera tailored for content creators. The device is expected to be small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket, positioning it as a portable alternative to smartphones for vloggers and filmmakers.

The project reportedly began internally in late 2025, and while details remain limited, the camera is understood to be aimed directly at rivals such as DJI's popular Osmo Pocket series. Industry whispers also suggest that other brands, including Insta360, are also working on similar modular pocket cameras, indicating a growing interest in compact, handheld creator tools.

At present, no official information regarding specifications, pricing, or an exact release timeline has been released. Market observers speculate that Vivo’s device could retail in a range similar to the Osmo Pocket 3, which currently sells for between USD 350 and USD 400.
