Vivo has expanded its lineup with the launch of the Watch GT 2, a notable upgrade to last year’s Watch GT. Released alongside the X300 smartphone series, this new smartwatch brings several enhancements in design, functionality, and longevity.

The Watch GT 2 retains the rectangular, Apple-inspired design from its predecessor but features a larger 2.07-inch curved AMOLED display. This screen offers a crisp 432 x 514 resolution, a smooth 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits, along with an impressive 82.4% screen-to-body ratio. The watch measures 47.54 x 40.19 x 10.97 mm and weighs just 35.8 grams for the Bluetooth version, crafted from glossy aluminum alloy with a rotating digital crown on the side. It comes in five color options: Free Blue, Shell Powder, Origin Black, Obsidian Black, and White Space, and includes a one-click strap release mechanism similar to Apple Watches. The device is also water-resistant up to 2 ATM.

Health and fitness tracking remains a core focus, with features such as all-day heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen measurement, sleep and stress tracking, breathing exercises, menstrual cycle monitoring, noise detection, and over 100 sports modes. A unique addition is a dedicated Tennis mode that analyzes racket swings and ball impacts. The Watch GT 2 runs on Vivo’s BlueOS 3.0, integrating a DeepSeek AI assistant for real-time responses to user queries. It supports Bluetooth calls and optional eSIM connectivity.

Under the hood, the watch includes optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, along with accelerometer, ambient light, geomagnetic, gyroscope, and Hall sensors. Battery performance is exceptional: the Bluetooth version, powered by a 695mAh cell, lasts up to 33 days on a single charge, or about 17 days with typical use. The eSIM version, with a slightly smaller 595mAh battery, can manage up to 18 days in power-saving mode or around 8 days under regular use.

Currently, the Watch GT 2 is only available in China, priced at CNY 499 (approximately USD 70) for the Bluetooth model and CNY 699 (approximately USD 98) for the eSIM version. If it reaches the Nepali market, expectations are for the Bluetooth variant to start at NPR 11,999 and the eSIM model at NPR 16,999.
