Vivo Unveils Y50 5G and Y50m 5G with Massive 6000mAh Battery and Dimensity 6300 Processor

Vivo has recently launched two new budget-friendly 5G smartphones in China, the Y50 5G and Y50m 5G. These models aim to deliver a balanced mix of performance and battery life, making them attractive options for everyday users.

The Vivo Y50 5G and Y50m 5G feature a modern design with a subtle back panel finish available in Platinum White, Sky Blue, and Diamond Black. They are equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD display offering HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, along with an IP64 dust and water resistance rating.

Under the hood, both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, suitable for casual browsing, social media, and light gaming. The Y50 5G comes with RAM options of 4GB, 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB, while the Y50m 5G starts at 6GB and goes up to 12GB. Storage options reach up to 256GB, with the 6GB+128GB variant using eMMC 5.1 storage and others featuring faster UFS 2.2.

Connectivity includes dual-SIM 5G support, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, an IR blaster, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The standout feature is the massive 6000mAh battery, which promises extended usage on a single charge, even with 5G, supported by 44W fast charging and reverse wired charging.

In China, the Y50 5G starts at CNY 1,199 for the 4GB+128GB model, with prices rising to CNY 2,299 for the top 12GB+256GB variant. The Y50m 5G begins at CNY 1,499 for the 6GB+128GB model and also reaches CNY 2,299 for the 12GB+256GB option, lacking only the base 4GB configuration. In Nepal, these devices are anticipated to launch between NPR 21,000 and NPR 38,000, making them competitive choices in the budget segment.
