Xiaomi 15 Ultra Debuts in Nepal With Leica Cameras and Snapdragon 8 Elite

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in Nepal, marking the latest flagship in the Ultra series. This model highlights a strong focus on photography, featuring a Leica quad-camera system and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone brings a range of advanced features including a 200MP telephoto camera, a vibrant high-resolution display, a robust battery, and integrated AI tools. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra continues Xiaomi's tradition of emphasizing photography, particularly with its Leica-inspired design. The device sports a large circular quad-camera module and comes in three color options: two-tone silver and black, as well as plain black and white variants. The standout camera upgrade is a 200MP periscope camera offering 4.3x zoom, enhanced low-light performance through a larger sensor, a faster aperture, and higher resolution. Xiaomi dubs the phone the “Night God” to emphasize its capabilities in low-light conditions. The remaining three cameras are each 50MP, with minor tweaks from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Notably, the main camera now features a fixed f/1.63 aperture, replacing the variable aperture found in the previous model.

An optional third-generation Photography Kit is also available. This accessory includes a case and camera grip, now featuring a new red finish and a larger 2,000mAh battery that functions as a power bank. It retains the same controls: a shutter button, video button, zoom lever, and exposure dial.

In terms of display and design, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra maintains a premium build with its pronounced camera module. The quad-curved aluminum frame enhances ergonomics for a comfortable flagship feel. The device boasts a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The design incorporates Xiaomi’s Guardian Structure along with Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an aerospace-grade glass fiber back plate. The phone also offers IP68 water and dust resistance.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This processor provides a noticeable performance boost over its predecessor, making it more than capable for demanding tasks, though it may be overkill for users who do not play high-performance games. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, and includes a 3D dual-channel cooling system.

Xiaomi has integrated several AI features into the system through its HyperAI suite. The Creative Assistant offers tools for object removal, sky and reflection enhancement, blur reduction, and AI-driven image and video editing. The Productivity Assistant supports context recognition for tasks such as text, translation, and search, along with voice recognition for transcription and instant translation. These features utilize Google Gemini Nano 2 and Google Circle-to-Search.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra houses a sizable 5410mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. It also offers 18W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi claims the battery will retain 80% of its capacity after four years of use. The phone supports dual SIM, Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1.

The official price of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in Nepal is NPR 149,999 for the 16GB/512GB RAM variant. The device will be available for pre-booking from March 9 to 15. During this pre-booking period, customers will receive an official Xiaomi 50W Wireless Charging Stand worth NPR 9,999 for free.
