Xiaomi Unveils 15T Pro With Advanced Leica Camera and Dimensity 9400+ Processor

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 15T Pro, building on its partnership with Leica to deliver a compelling mix of performance and photography capabilities. The device features notable upgrades in design, display technology, and imaging, while maintaining a strong focus on user experience through enhanced software features and connectivity options.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro measures 7.95mm thick, slightly slimmer than its predecessor, and sports an aluminum frame paired with a glass fiber back. It is offered in three color options: Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold, and carries an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The phone now features ultra-slim bezels that are 27% thinner than before, contributing to a more immersive viewing experience.

Display capabilities have been upgraded with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED panel that supports a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. Peak brightness reaches 3,200 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The display also holds multiple TÜV certifications for eye protection and flicker reduction.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, built on a cutting-edge 3nm process. This chipset delivers a maximum CPU clock speed of 3.73GHz and includes the Immortalis-G925 GPU. Memory options include 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with storage choices of 256GB, 512GB, or a substantial 1TB, all utilizing UFS 4.1 technology. Thermal management is handled by Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop system.

Camera performance remains a highlight, thanks to Leica’s involvement. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a Light Fusion 900 sensor, a 50MP super telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom (extendable to 20x with Ultra Zoom 2.0), and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view. The 32MP front camera provides a 21mm equivalent focal length. Xiaomi has incorporated Leica’s street photography mode, a Master Portrait mode with bokeh effects, and allows customization of focal length and aperture. Video recording supports HDR10+, LUT imports, and frame rates ranging from 8K at 30fps to 4K at 120fps.

Battery life is managed by a 5,000mAh cell, supported by 90W fast charging that can power on the device in under four seconds. Despite the impressive charging speed, Xiaomi has opted not to increase the battery capacity beyond 5,000mAh, though the company claims the phone can last over 15 hours of continuous use.

Connectivity features include Xiaomi Astral Communication and Offline Communication for improved signal in weak environments, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio certification, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 with dual connection, and broad 5G band support. Running HyperOS 2 at launch, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is promised an update to HyperOS 3 by October, bringing enhanced multitasking and better integration across Xiaomi devices. AI capabilities are expanded with AISP 2.0, HyperAI, and an AI Creativity Assistant.

In Europe, pricing starts at EUR 799 for the base 12/256GB model, with the 12/1TB variant priced at EUR 999. When the Xiaomi 15T Pro becomes available in Nepal, expectations are that it will start at NPR 124,000 for the base configuration, with higher storage options priced accordingly.
