Xiaomi 15T Review: A Strong Contender in Nepal's Mid-Range Market

After spending a month with the Xiaomi 15T, which is available in Nepal for NPR 65,000 (for the 12/512GB variant), I can share that this device has several strengths but also notable weaknesses. The mid-range market is crowded with options like the Galaxy A56, Honor 400, Vivo V60, OnePlus Nord 5, and the upcoming OPPO Reno 14, so the 15T faces stiff competition.

The Xiaomi 15T boasts a premium design with a glass finish that sets it apart from many peers in this price bracket. While the Pro model with metal frames isn't coming to Nepal, the standard version still feels solid, with flat edges that enhance gaming comfort and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Where the 15T truly shines is its display. The 6.83-inch AMOLED screen reaches brightness levels that remain visible even in harsh Nepali sunlight, with HDR videos looking particularly vibrant thanks to a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The panel supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 3840Hz PWM dimming, providing a flagship-like experience for media consumption and gaming.

Under the hood, the Mediatek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset delivers reliable performance. Gaming tests showed stable frame rates in titles like Mobile Legends (120fps) and PUBG (around 90fps), though the phone's cooling system kept temperatures under control at around 40°C without throttling.
