Xiaomi Launches 140W Desk Charging Station with Multiple Ports for Fast Charging

Xiaomi has introduced the Desk Charging Station 140W, a compact charging hub aimed at reducing desk clutter by replacing multiple chargers with a single device. The station is designed for permanent placement on desks and efficiently manages charging needs through a mix of high-speed USB and traditional AC outlets.

The device features an impressive array of ports, including two USB-C connections, two USB-A ports, and four AC outlets, allowing users to charge laptops, phones, tablets, and even desk lamps simultaneously without needing to swap plugs or search for available sockets.

The standout feature is its 140W USB-C performance. Both USB-C1 and USB-C2 support up to 140W of output each through PD 3.1 fast charging, making it suitable for charging power-hungry devices such as Apple MacBooks or high-performance Windows laptops at full speed without their original bulky chargers. The station also supports Xiaomi’s own 120W fast-charging standard across USB-C1, USB-C2, and USB-A1, with backward compatibility for older charging profiles including 100W, 90W, 67W, and 33W.

For accessories that do not require rapid charging, the USB-A2 port provides low-current output, ideal for wireless earbuds, smartwatches, and fitness bands. This helps minimize heat generation and protects smaller batteries during extended charging sessions.

Safety features include an intelligent power management chip that monitors connected devices and automatically redistributes power in real time, ensuring stable charging without interruptions. The station also offers protection against overcurrent, short-circuit, overvoltage, and temperature spikes.

The Xiaomi Desk Charging Station 140W will initially launch in China via crowdfunding at a price of CNY 299. In Nepal, the expected retail price is NPR 13,999, though availability details are pending.
