Xiaomi has entered the lifestyle smartphone market with the Mi 11 Lite, focusing on a slim, lightweight design and a more premium aesthetic. For those who prioritize portability and style, this device could be appealing. However, when evaluated purely on value, the Mi 11 Lite struggles to compete with Xiaomi’s own Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

Design and Build

Measuring 75.73 x 160.53 x 6.81mm and weighing just 157 grams, the Mi 11 Lite is one of the thinnest and lightest phones in its class. The front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass 5, but the plastic frame gives it a less premium feel compared to the Note 10 Pro Max. The glossy finish on the black variant attracts fingerprints and smudges due to the lack of an oleophobic coating. The phone features IP53 dust and splash resistance but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, though a dongle is included in the box.

Display

Light apps and multitasking are handled smoothly, though the phone tends to heat up during prolonged use or gaming sessions. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is reliable but lacks the premium feel of in-display sensors found in more expensive devices.

Cameras

The Mi 11 Lite features a triple-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. While image quality is comparable to the Note 10 Pro Max, the Mi 11 Lite struggles in low-light conditions. The ultra-wide lens suffers from lack of detail and dynamic range.
