Xiaomi Pad 5 With Snapdragon 860 and 2K Display Now Available in Nepal

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Pad 5 tablet in the Nepalese market, marking the company's return to the local tablet space after a three-year absence. The Pad 5 brings a combination of a vibrant display, solid performance, and long battery life in an attractive design.

The tablet sports an 11-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and supports TrueTone technology for a more natural viewing experience. It also handles HDR10 and Dolby Vision content, making it well-suited for media consumption. While the Pad 5 measures 254.69 x 166.25 x 6.86mm and weighs 511 grams, the Pro versions are slightly heavier, with the Pad 5 Pro weighing 515 grams and the 5G variant at 518 grams.

One standout feature is the optional magnetic keyboard and stylus, which are sold separately. The stylus offers a responsive 240Hz touch sampling rate and weighs just 12.2 grams, while the keyboard doubles as a protective cover and includes a dedicated button for exiting full-screen mode.

Under the hood, the Pad 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 860 processor, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a choice of 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. In contrast, the Pro models utilize the more powerful Snapdragon 870 5G and come with 8GB of RAM and a fixed 256GB storage option.

The tablet runs a tablet-optimized version of MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, which has been tailored for compatibility with external keyboards and stylus input. Users can enjoy split-screen modes, multiple windows, and other desktop-like features for enhanced productivity.

Battery life is a strong point, with the Pad 5 boasting an 8,720mAh cell that supports 33W fast charging. The Pro models feature a slightly smaller 8,600mAh battery but benefit from faster 67W charging speeds. In terms of audio, the standard Pad 5 includes a quad-speaker setup, while the Pro variants offer eight speakers in total, all with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive sound experience.

Camera capabilities vary across the lineup. The base Pad 5 features a single 13MP rear camera, while the Pad 5 Pro adds a 5MP depth sensor. The top-tier Pad 5 Pro 5G impresses with a 50MP primary camera alongside a 5MP depth sensor. All models share an 8MP front camera capable of recording Full HD video at 30 frames per second.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is available in two color options: Pearl White and Cosmic Gray. In Nepal, the 6/128GB configuration is priced at NPR 44,999, while the 6/256GB variant costs NPR 49,999. The tablet can be purchased from authorized Xiaomi stores and retailers across the country.
