Acer Unveils Power-Packed Predator 6 Smartphone and Predator 8 Tablet for Gaming Enthusiasts

Acer has debuted two exciting additions to its gaming-focused Predator series at IFA Berlin. The Predator 6 is a high-performance 6-inch smartphone built for demanding gamers, equipped with a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor and 4GB of RAM. This chipset, positioned to rival top-tier Snapdragon processors, aims to deliver smooth gameplay across all titles. The device features a 720p display for energy efficiency, a striking metallic back with red accents, a 21MP rear camera, and quad front-facing speakers for rich audio. Though launch details remain sparse, Acer hints at further refinements before its eventual release next year.

Complementing the smartphone, the Predator 8 is an 8-inch gaming tablet with a vibrant full HD 1080p screen boasting a 100 percent NTSC color gamut for precise, vivid visuals. It shares the same aggressive aesthetic as the Predator 6 and adds TacSense technology, which enhances tactile feedback during gaming sessions. Powered by an Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor with 2GB RAM, the tablet includes 32 or 64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, plus 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi for stable connections. Priced at $299, the Predator 8 will arrive in North America on November 6.
