The Anker Soundcore Rise is a neckband-style wireless earphone designed to appeal to budget shoppers looking for a simple, reliable listening experience. With an IPX5 water-resistant build and a battery that can last up to 12 hours on a single charge, it handles everyday use and workouts reasonably well. The earphones come with several ear tips and wings, along with a clip to keep the neckband in place during movement.

The Soundcore Rise uses Bluetooth version 4.1, which connects devices within a range of about 10 meters. While the connection works, it does not feel as robust as earphones using newer Bluetooth standards. Pairing is straightforward: hold the play/pause button for a second to power on, then hold it for four seconds to enter pairing mode. The earphones will remember your last connected device for future use.

Control is handled through three physical buttons on the left side of the neckband. The central play/pause button also powers the earphones on and off and can summon the connected device’s default voice assistant with a long press. Two smaller buttons on either side manage volume, and they can also skip forward or backward between tracks when pressed and held. The buttons are clicky and easy to use without looking.

Audio performance benefits from 8mm full-range drivers, delivering a frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz. For the price, the Soundcore Rise handles music separation well, allowing individual instruments to be clearly distinguished. Bass response feels adequate, but high-pitched elements occasionally come through as sharp or screeching, especially at higher volumes. There is also a noticeable hissing sound when the earphones are idle but still connected to a device.

Battery life is among the better options in this price range. In testing, the Soundcore Rise delivered around 10.5 hours of playback at moderate volume levels, close to the advertised 12 hours. Charging via the micro USB port takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach a full charge. While the charging cable is included, the port itself lacks a cover, potentially allowing dust to accumulate over time.

Despite its few drawbacks, the Anker Soundcore Rise presents a comfortable, well-built design that is ideal for users who want a simple wireless earphone without spending a fortune. The inclusion of multiple ear tips, wings, and a neckband clip helps ensure a secure fit for most situations. If occasional distortion and an older Bluetooth standard are not dealbreakers, this model offers solid value for money.
