Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in China, with sales starting this week. The Galaxy J5 is priced at US$225, roughly NPR 22,950, while the Galaxy J7 is set at US$290, approximately NPR 29,580. No official confirmation has been provided regarding availability in other regions, including Nepal.
These devices represent Samsung's first smartphones to include a front-facing LED flash, aimed at enhancing selfie experiences. Both phones come equipped with a 5MP front camera that features an LED flash and a wide-angle lens, making them particularly appealing to younger users.
The Galaxy J5 boasts a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. It includes 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD up to 64GB, a 13MP rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture, and a 2600mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 steps up with a larger 5.5-inch HD display and an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. It shares the same 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage configuration but packs a bigger 3000mAh battery.
Connectivity options for both models include dual SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and GPS. They run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface.
