Honor Magic 8 Pro Air Debuts With Premium Design and Extended Battery Life

Honor has expanded its Magic 8 series with the launch of the Magic 8 Pro Air, a smartphone that blends a refined design with powerful performance. The device targets users looking for premium aesthetics combined with long-lasting battery capabilities.

The Magic 8 Pro Air measures just 6.1mm thick and weighs 155 grams, featuring a glass front and aluminum frame with an IP68/69 dust and water resistance rating. It comes in four color options: Shadow Black, Fairly Purple, Feather White, and Light Orange. The phone sports a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6000 nits. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is embedded in the screen for secure access.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset built on a 3nm process, featuring an "All Big Core" CPU configuration that includes one 4.21GHz core, three 3.5GHz cores, and four 2.7GHz cores, along with an AI NPU 990 for enhanced machine learning tasks. It offers 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, running on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

The camera setup includes a triple rear system led by a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.3-inch large sensor and f/1.6 aperture, supported by a 64MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.2x optical zoom with image stabilization, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is a 50MP shooter capable of 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.

One of the standout features is the 5500mAh Si-C anode battery, supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, as well as 5W reverse wired charging for other devices. Connectivity options include WiFi 7, 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Additional sensors on board are an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass.

In China, the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 4,999. Should it become available in Nepal, expectations are for the starting price to be around NPR 135,999 for the same configuration.
