Huawei P10 Teased Ahead of Mobile World Congress Debut

Huawei is preparing to unveil its next flagship device, the P10, at Mobile World Congress on February 26, 2017, following an official teaser release. As part of its premium smartphone range, the P series has consistently delivered notable improvements year over year. With the Honor 8 gaining strong reception in Europe and being dubbed a "flagship killer," Huawei aims to maintain momentum with the P10.

Recent rumors surrounding both the P10 and its larger variant, the P10 Plus, have now been validated by this formal teaser. While Huawei has only confirmed the model name and launch date so far, industry leaks provide a clearer picture of what to expect. The P10 is rumored to carry the slogan "Change the way the world sees you," implying a focus on selfie enhancements, potentially through dual front cameras.

According to these leaks, the device will boast a 5.5-inch QHD display delivering a sharp 534 PPI density. It will run EMUI 5.0 built on Android 7.0 Nougat and be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 system-on-chip. Memory configurations are said to include either 4GB RAM paired with 32GB or 64GB internal storage, or 6GB RAM with a substantial 128GB storage option. Camera specifications hint at a dual 12MP rear setup with a wide f/1.7 aperture, alongside an 8MP front camera designed for superior selfies.
