Intex Launches Aqua Ace With AMOLED Display and 3GB RAM in Nepal

EOL Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Intex mobiles in Nepal, is preparing to launch three new smartphones under the Aqua brand: the Aqua Ace, Aqua Trend, and Aqua Super. The company plans to release these devices before the end of January.

The Intex Aqua Ace is the flagship model in this lineup. It features a 5-inch 720P AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass generation 3. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 CPU with a 1.3GHz quad-core 64-bit processor and a MALI-T720 GPU. The device offers 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. For photography, it includes a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The phone is equipped with a 2300mAh battery and runs on Android Lollipop version 5.1 out of the box. It supports dual SIMs and 4G connectivity and will be available in black and white color options. Although the exact pricing has not been disclosed, expectations place it around Rs.20,000, positioning it to compete with recently launched models like the Micromax Canvas 5 and the Colors Pearl Black 3, both of which also feature 3GB of RAM and are priced under Rs.20,000.

The Intex Aqua Super is another upcoming model that also boasts 3GB of RAM but makes some compromises in other areas. Unlike the Aqua Ace, the Aqua Super uses a 5-inch 720P IPS display without Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P 64-bit processor with a Mali-T720 GPU and offers 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD. For cameras, it features an 8MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. The Aqua Super includes a 2150mAh battery and also runs on Android Lollipop 5.1. It supports dual SIMs and 4G connectivity and will be available in grey, black, white, and champagne color options. The expected price is around Rs.18,000.

Completing the trio is the Intex Aqua Trend, which highlights a long-lasting 3000mAh battery. It sports a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 SoC with a 1.3GHz quad-core 64-bit processor. Like the other two devices, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Aqua Trend includes a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera but only offers 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage that is expandable. The device is expected to be priced below Rs.15,000 and will be available in champagne, silver, gray, and black color options.
