Apple iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max: Nepal Pricing and Review Update

Apple has launched the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max in Nepal, offering upgrades over previous models. Gen Nxt, the official Apple distributor in Nepal, is handling sales of these devices. Due to a 2.5% import tax and 13% government VAT, prices here are higher than in the US.

The iPhone 11 Pro features a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits, powered by the A13 Bionic chip. It includes a triple-camera system: a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens, along with Deep Fusion technology for enhanced photo detail. This model also comes with an 18W fast charger, a change from previous Apple practices.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max expands on this with a larger 6.5-inch display and a bigger 3969mAh battery for extended life. It shares the same camera setup and processor as the smaller Pro model. Both phones are available in Midnight Green, Space Grey, Silver, and Gold.

Currently, these models are not available in brand new condition in Nepal. They can be found in the second-hand market, with listed prices for the iPhone 11 Pro starting at NPR 148,000 for the 64GB variant, NPR 169,000 for the 256GB model, and NPR 199,000 for the 512GB edition. The iPhone 11 Pro Max is priced at NPR 162,000 for the 64GB, NPR 186,000 for the 256GB, and NPR 215,000 for the 512GB version.

While the iPhone 11 series brings notable improvements, the Pro models are seen as overpriced compared to competing smartphones that offer similar or better features at lower costs.
