Apple has officially launched the iPhone SE (2022) in Nepal, bringing the power of the A15 Bionic chip to a more affordable package. The device is now available through authorized Apple retailers, with the 128GB variant currently priced at Rs. 87,000.

Key Features and Specifications

The iPhone SE (2022) packs the same A15 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 13 series, delivering a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine for smooth performance. It runs on iOS 15 out of the box and supports 5G networks, although it is limited to sub-6 GHz bands.

The phone features a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels and a peak brightness of 625 nits, paired with an oleophobic coating for smudge resistance. Despite its compact size, it includes a 12MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 7MP front camera.

Battery life is impressive, with Apple claiming up to 15 hours of video playback. Charging is handled by a 20W adapter, which can reach 50% in about 30 minutes, though the adapter is sold separately. The device also supports Qi wireless charging but does not include MagSafe functionality.

Design and Durability

The iPhone SE (2022) retains the classic design language with a home button equipped with Touch ID. It is constructed with toughened glass on both the front and back and holds an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone is offered in three color options: Midnight, Starlight, and (Product) Red.

At present, only the 128GB storage variant is available in Nepal, priced at Rs. 87,000. It can be purchased from authorized Apple stores across the country. The 64GB and 256GB variants have yet to be released locally.
